- 2-Dimethylaminoethyl
acrylate (ADAME) is a yellowish liquid with a pungent odor.
- World-wide and in
Japan, 95-97% of this substance is used to produce DMAEA quarternary
ammonium salts which are used to produce polymers for industries
such as water-treatment and paper-making.
- 2-(DiMethylAmino)
Ethyl Acrylate (DMAEA) used in migration of monomer studies because
of its small molecular weight and its distinctive Raman peaks when
compared to Bis-A Epoxy Acrylate.
- A series of acrylamide/
dimethylaminoethylacrylate methyl chloride copolymers (AM-co-DMAEA)
was evaluated as flocculants for model Precipitated Calcium
Carbonate (PCC) in distilled water.Copolymers of acrylamide and
quaternised dimethylaminoethyl acrylate (DMAEA-Q) constitute an
economically important range of cationic poly- electrolytes used in
sludge conditioning.
- Cationic
polyphosphazenes were synthesized by a substitution reaction of
poly(dichloro)phosphazene with 2-dimethylaminoethanol (DMAE) or
2-dimethylaminoethylamine (DMAEA)
- The grafting of a
mixture of DMAEA and MMA or that of DMAPAA and MMA was carried out
to obtain high grafting %.
- DMAEA and OEG-A
monomer conversions were determined via 1H NMR spectroscopy,
comparing the signal area from the vinyl protons (d ~ 5.4-6.3 ppm,
3H/5 mol) to the signal area from the methylene oxide (d ~ 3.6 ppm,
30 H/mol) and methyl adjacent to amine (d ~ 2.8 ppm, 6H/mol) groups,
respectively for OEG-A and DMAEA.
- A new
transesterification method for preparing N, N-dimethylaminoethyl
acrylate (DMAEA) from methyl acrylate (MA) and dimethylaminoethanol
(DMAE) was carried out in the presence of organotin catalyst.
- The synthesis of DMAEA/styrene
amphiphilic diblock copolymers, using Automatic Continuous Online
Monitoring of Polymerization reactions
(ACOMP). Poly(DMAEA) is a pH sensitive polymer with wide
applications in pharmaceutical and water treatment industries yet
challenging due to possible interaction of its amino group with
catalysts.
- ADAM and MADAM are
quaternized with either methyl chloride or dimethyl sulfate in a
closed system to produce ADAMMC, ADAMDMS, MADAMMC and MADAMDMS.
- If released into
water, dimethylaminoethyl acrylate is expected to degrade to
acrylate and 2-dimethylaminoethanol by hydrolysis.
- Arkema, which is the
world number three in acrylics is to build a new production line for
dimethyl amino ethyl acrylate (DMAEA) at Carling-Saint. Carling is
one of the largest acrylic acid plants in the world.
