- Polyvinyl alcohol
sponge or PVA sponge is a synthetic sponge essentially composed of
Polyvinyl alcohol.
-
PVA sponge can be
prepared by the reaction of PVA and formalin by using acid as a
catalyst. Starch is the pore creating medium that it will be leached out
from the reaction product
-
PVA sponge will absorb
up to 12 times its dry weight in water. When saturated with water, it
becomes flexible and soft like natural sea sponge
-
PVA can be fabricated
into sponge, sponge towel, various wipes, floor mops, rollers, sponge
cloths and granules
- High value medical
products are produced. Poly (vinyl alcohol) and poly (vinyl pyrrolidone)
(PVA-PVP) blended hydrogel for wound
dressing has been prepared by using gamma rays irradiation technique
- PVA cleaning
products leave countertops, floors, auto bodies, any surface clean and
dry without scratching. Supplied in a re-sealable plastic container to
keep the product ready for use.
