- Aromatic compounds, also known as
arenes or aromatics, are chemical compounds that contain conjugated
planar ring systems with delocalised pi
electron clouds instead of
discrete alternating single and double bonds.
- Typical aromatic compounds
are benzene and toluene.
- Simple aromatic rings are the
fundamental non-polycyclic unsubstituted aromatic rings and may contain
heteroatoms.
- Polycyclic aromatic compounds are
fused aromatic rings and may contain heteroatoms.
- Polycyclic aromatic compounds
contains Category:Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.
- All aromatic compounds are based
on benzene, C6H6, which has a ring of six carbon atoms Benzene, C6H6,
and other unsaturated compounds
that resemble it in chemical
behavior.
- The reductive aldol reaction of
electron deficient aromatic compounds has been investigated and found to
be a viable method for carbon–carbon bond formation.
- The aldol reaction is a venerable
method of C–C bond formation that has evolved into a highly
sophisticated and powerful means of preparing
β-hydroxy carbonyl
compounds with significant control of both relative and absolute
stereochemistry being possible.
- Aromatic compounds and aldehyde
electrophiles was governed by future application to the synthesis of
lactacystin 7 and 16-methyloxazolomycin,
both of which have
interesting and potentially useful biological activity.
- Application has been almost
exclusively focused on core data mining.
- A Horizon Technology automated
extraction system was used to perform the SPE on typical drinking water
samples.
- Recent advances in mass
spectrometry and in particular in the ionisation and injection
techniques of liquid and solid samples, makes the mass
spectrometry
a suitable tool for the analysis of a complex matrix of aromatic tarry
species.
- The first report of the isolation
of ent-kaurane and ent-isopimarane diterpenoids from J. kirkii. While
various bisbibenzyls have been found in Radula species, this is the first
isolation of farnesyl bibenzyl 6 from Radula species.
- The relatively low magnitude of
isotope fractionation in the case of benzene, carbon CSIA alone seems to
be insufficient to confirm in-situ
biodegradation, in particular
with old or complex contaminant plumes where it is difficult to
determine the accurate value of the initial isotope composition of the
contaminant.
- The volatile aroma compounds
quantified and their qualifier ions selected for identification
according the Wiley mass-spectrum library, standard
compound used
and specialized literature on massspectrum wine
