- Common name of alpha-cypermethrin is
(E-ISO, BSI), alpha-cyperméthrine (F-ISO)
- Non-systemic insecticide with contact and
stomach action.
- Acts on the central and peripheral
nervous system in very low doses.
- Control of a wide range of chewing and
sucking insects (particularly Lepidoptera, Coleoptera, and Hemiptera) in
fruit (including citrus), vegetables, vines, cereals, maize, beet,
oilseed rape, potatoes, cotton, rice, soya beans, forestry, and other
crops.
- Control of cockroaches, mosquitoes,
flies, and other insect pests in public health; and flies in animal
houses. Also used as an animal ectoparasiticide.
- Undergoes degradation in soil, DT50 c. 13
w in loamy soil.
- pH range: 4 to 8.
- Alpha-cypermethrin may be formulated
alone or co-formulated with other insecticides, such as flufenoxuron or
teflubenzuron.
- If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or
Poisons Information centre on 13 11 26. If
swallowed, and if more than 15 minutes from a hospital induce vomiting
preferably using Ipecac Syrup APF.
- Dangerous to fish. DO NOT contaminate
dams, ponds, rivers, waterways and drains with this chemical or used
container. Do not spray directly onto humans, exposed food or food
utensils.
