- Fosetyl-Al is a
broad-spectrum fungicide that acts by inhibiting germination of spores
or by blocking development of mycelium and sporulation.
- Fosetyl-Al is a fungicide
for various horticultural crops used to control a range of diseases
including
Phytophthora, Pythium and Plasmopara
- Fosetyl-Al is considered a
strong eye irritant .
- Fosetyl - al is extracted
from the whole fruit of peels usig 50/50 mixture of 0.1 hydrochloric
acid and acetonitril.
- Method of analysis was
developed to determine the residue of Fosetyl - al in plants.
- Fosetyl-AI was injected at 4
sites into avocado
(Persea americana Mill.) trees in Dade and Collier
Counties, Florida for the control of Phytophthora cinnamomi Rands
which causes root rot.
- Metalaxyl, fosetyl-Al,
dimethomorph and cymoxanil were applied as a soil drench to evaluate
their ability
to control in vitro and in vivo Phytophthora cactorum
and P. citrophthora, agents of crown rot of peach tree.
- A fungicide namely Aliette
WG 800 (80% Fosetyl-Al) was pulverized on tomato
(Lycopersicon
esculentum Mill.) grown under greenhouse conditions and the likely
effects of this fungicide on stomata of tomato were examined.
- Reactions, including
variations in the components of resistance (incubation period, latent
period, infection frequency, lesion diameter and percent lesions with
necrosis) of two rust-resistant and one rust-susceptible groundnut
genotypes were studied in glasshouse following
artificial
inoculations with Piiccinia araclzidis and treatment with fosetyl-Al or
a-aminooxyacetate (AOA) or inoculation with Pirccinia sorghi.
- The effect of the
fungicide
agents dimethomorph, fosetyl-al, iprovalicarb and
metalaxyl applied to the stem of field-grown grapevines
was investigated.
- Fosetyl-AI was injected at 4
sites into avocado
(Persea americana Mill.) trees in Dade and Collier
Counties, Florida for the control of Phytophthora cinnamomi Rands
which causes root rot.
- A method is described for
the residue analysis of very polar, non-QuEChERS-amenable, pesticides in
foods of plant origin such as fruits (including dried fruits),
vegetables, cereals and processed products thereof as well as honey.
Residues are extracted from the test portion following water adjustment
and the addition of acidified methanol. The mixture is centrifuged,
filtered and directly analyzed by LC-MS/MS.
- A new method for the
sensitive
and selective determination of fosetyl-aluminum (Al)
residues in vegetable samples involves extraction with water by using a
high-speed blender and subsequent injection of the 5-fold diluted
extract into the liquid chromatograph. Fosetyl-Al is determined by
liquid chromatography with electrospray tandem mass spectrometry
after the addition of tetrabutylammonium acetate as the ion-pairing
reagent.
- Failures of fosetyl-Al
(Aliette) to control hop (Humulus lupulus) downy mildew, caused by
Pseudoperonospora humuli, have recently occurred in northern Idaho and
Oregon. The fosetyl-Al concentration effective against 50% of the P.
humuli isolates (ED50) from each location was estimated from the
linearized data. The ED50 values indicate that fosetyl-Al was about
one-third as effective against P. humuli isolates from commercial hop
yards in northern Idaho and Oregon
