- Kitazin is a broad spectrum
systemic fungicide belonging to the organophosphorus group for the
control of various diseases such as blast and
sheath blight of rice,
fruit rot of chilli, early blight of tomato and potato, purple blotch of
onion, anthracnose of grapes and pomegranate etc.
- Kitazin (also known as
Iprobenfos, IBP) is asystemic fungicide of phosphorothioate group,
chemicallyknown as S- Benzyl O, O- diisopropyl
phosphorothioate.
- Significant reduction
(68.38%) in sheath blight disease of rice was noticed when foliar spray
of a systemic fungicide, kitazin (480 micrograms mg-1), was applied
twice at an interval of 2 days before inoculation.
- One hundred and twenty-nine
isolates of Magnaporthe grisea from Guangdong, Guangxi, Anhui and
Jiangsu provinces of China were tested for resistance frequency to
kitazin P and carbendazim, respectively by the distinctive concentration
method.
- Movement and Metabolism of
32P and 35S-double labeled Kitazin P and 35S-labeled edifenphos were
examined with three types of soils, sandy loam, alluvial clay loam, and
volcanic ash loam.
- Experiments were conducted
to assess the acute and sub acute toxic effects of kitazin on the
haematologicalparameters of broiler chicken.
- Kitazin is an
organophosphorous fungicide used for rice blast disease in
agriculture.
