• Nifedipine (brand name Adalat, Nifedical, and Procardia) is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker.
• Nifedipine is a high blood pressure (hypertension) and migraine medication taken as a daily pill.
• Nifedipine belongs to a class of drugs known as calcium channel blockers (CCBs).
• Nifedipine comes as a capsule and an extended-release tablet (long-acting) to take by mouth.
  It is a yellow crystalline powder.
• In wet spherical agglomeration (WSA) process the nifedipine particles were agglomerated by dropping a chloroform solution containing a bridging liquid.

  Nifedipine is a type II calcium channel antagonist, which inhibits the influx of calcium ions into myometrial and other cells and thereby reduces muscle contractility.
