Garcinia Cambogia

Vilaiti Imli (coccum Butter Tree)
Cocuum butter tree (Garcinia cambogia) grows in the evergreen forests of
the Western Ghats in Southern India. Fruit rinds of the plant is
commercial drug.
In 1965, Lewis and Neelkantan Isolated the principal acid in the fruit
rinds of Garcinia combogia and identified it as (-)- hydroxy citric acid
(HCA) which has been shown to accelerate fat burning and inhibit fatty
acid synthesis.
The extract is standardized for HCA not less than 55%. Garcinia cambogia
extract is the calcium salt of hydroxy citric acid (HCA), which is
obtained from water extract of Garcinia cambogia fruit.
Garcinia cambogia extract, supporting natural weight management without
stimulating the central nervous
system. Extracted from the rinds of the fruit Garcinia cambogia, (-)HCA
influences appetite and energy levels naturally by redirecting calories
from fat production towards increasing glycogen production and storage.
In addition, this extract inhibits the pathway of fatty acid
biosynthesis and promotes healthy blood lipid levels.
