- n-Butylamine is an organic
compound with the formula CH3CH2CH2CH2NH2.
- n-Butylamine other names are
1-Aminobutane,1-Butanamine, Monobutylamime.
- n-Butylamine molecular
formula is C4H11N.
- n-Butylamine is a colourless
liquid is one of the four isomeric amines of butane, the others being
sec-butylamine, tert-butylamine and isobutylamine.
- n-butylamine is a liquid
having the fishy and ammonia-like odor common to amines.
- n-Butylamine is soluble in
all organic solvents.
- n-Butylamine compound is
used as an ingredient in the manufacture of pesticides, pharmaceuticals,
and emulsifiers.
- n-Butylamine is also a
precursor for the manufacture of N,N'-dibutylthiourea
- It is used as rubber
vulcanization accelerator, and n-butylbenzenesulfonamide, a plasticizer
of nylon.
- Highly flammable. Causes
severe burns. Harmful by inhalation, in contact with skin and if
swallowed.
- n-Butylamine density is
740.00 kg/m³.
- Water was produced
indicating the utilization of some of the hydrogen in n-butyl amine
is react with oxygen presumably present in the sulfate groups.
- The fact that n-butyl amine
undergoes oxidation and
reduction reactions at ambient temperature
suggests that the conversion of hydrocarbons.
- Decomposition of n-butyl
amine occurs on both sulfated zirconia and Pt-sulfated
zirconia.
- n-butyl amine contains
hydrogen atoms bonded to the nitrogen atom and these
are apparently
active to allow the formation of water at ambient temperature.
- n-butylamine solution was
prepared by n-butylamine in a 100mL volumetric flask and making up the
volume using dried benzene.
