Dicyandiamide-Formaldehyde is an organic coagulant which is
especially used for decolorization and coagulation processes in
wastewater treatment systems such as textile effluents
- Dicyandiamidic resin
are obtained from condensation between cyanoguanidine and
formaldehyde or Urea and can give further condensation product, with
naphthalenesulphuric acids, natural tannins, syntans or miscelate
with lignin sulphonic extract
- Dicyandiamide reacts
with formaldehyde to form a resin similar to phenol, urea and
melamine resins, which are known as addition-condensation type
resins.
- The resin is
synthesized from dicyandiamide and formaldehyde under acidic
conditions and the degree of polymerization was highly dependent on
the molar ratio
of reactants, reaction temperature, reaction time, and acid
concentration

Dicyandiamide-Formaldehyde resin is a cationic polymer that can be
charge neutralize the net negative charge of suspended particles in
water. Charge neutralization of the net negative charge on particles
allows the particles to move together in anticipation of creating
larger particles that settle faster
- Dicyandiamide
formaldehyde resins is mainly used for color removal treatment for
high-colority wastewater from dyestuffs plants. It is suitable to
treat wastewater with actived, acidic and disperse dyestuffs.
- Dicyandiamide
formaldehyde resins can also be used to treat wastewater from
textile industry and dye houses, pigment industry, printing ink
industry and paper industry.
- Polycationic
flocculating agent consisting of dicyandiamide-formaldehyde resin,
and can be used for decoloring-clarification of sewage
and colored waste water from factories including dye-works and paper
mill.
- Functionalized
dicyandiamide–formaldehyde polymers are efficient heterogeneous
catalysts for conversion of CO2 into organic carbonates
- The dicyandiamide
formaldehyde resin not only on hydrophobic dispersed dye color
removal effect is excellent and of hydrophilic dye in addition to
the effect of color is also very good, the dyeing wastewater showed
that, less dosage, in addition to the obvious, settling velocity and
the processing liquid high clarity, while also reducing COD
components, improve the removal rate of COD, COD removal rate can
reach to more than 98%
