The raw materials used for the production
of grinding wheels are abrasive grains of aluminium oxide, silicon
carbide and zirconia of grit size of 8 to 1200

Only a limited variety of raw
materials are available. Premium abrasives like zirconia seeded gel,
cubic boron nitride, boron carbide have to be imported. Fine grit of
over 600 grit size also needs to be imported. -
