  • Applications of Stearates are used as acid scavengers, lubricants and release agents by the plastics industry.
  • Provide unique properties that make them rubber release agents and combination of lubricity,
    hydrophicity and melt point allow these materials to be used in several applications.
  • Magnesium Stearate is a white, combustible powder, and is not soluble in water. The primary use  is as a pharmaceutical Excipient.
  • Zinc Stearates are insoluble in polar solvents but more soluble in aromatic compounds and its function as an acid scavenger.
  • Aluminium Stearate is a soft, fluffy free flowing bulky powder which has mild antiseptic and astringent properties.
  • Calcium Stearate is used as a stabilizer for plastics with co-stabilizer of Ba-Cd soap.
  • The use of metallic Stearates allows the processor to produce finished articles with smoother surfaces and lower friction.
  • Additionally, In cosmetic products used as shampoos, eyeliners, lipsticks, medicated ointments, body and foot powders etc.
  • Used as dry impregnation and as antistatic agents in textile industry.
